Come and experience life on the farm for a working holiday. You help out on the farm for three hours a day and we provide you with a spot to pitch your tent and two meals daily.
As the saying goes, many hands make light work. If you are interested in Permaculture, sustainable building methods, free energy systems and spending time in the great outdoors, Forest Glade Farm is the place to be. The farm is perfectly positioned to be a base to explore the Garden Route, with afternoons and weekends free.
Being that we’re just started out, all we can offer in terms of accommodation is camping. We have two spare tents, but check before hand to make sure they are still available. Otherwise, just bring you own tent. There will be a gas hob, open fire pit, composting toilet and 5000 litre water tank.
The farm is about 6 hours drive from Cape Town, or about 40 minutes by plane. Collection from the airport or bus station can be arranged if needed.
We’re meat eaters, so don’t bother applying if that’s going to be a problem. Vegetarian meals can be arranged, if you let us know in advance.
